A proud, punchy snapshot of punk and tribute to a European music legend, this striking screenprint is a brilliant example of the late 70s Punk aesthetic pioneered by legendary illustrator/designer Loulou Picasso.
Featuring The Damned, Tyla Gang, Lee Brilleaux (Dr Feelgood), Dave Edmund’s Rockpile and Nick Lowe, the gig took place at the Electric Ballroom in Camden, London in early 1979.
This poster is in overall excellent condition, the red is bold and fresh with wonderful traces of the hand-printed screen printing process to be found all over the sheet – these ‘blemishes’ are standard when it comes to punk posters and makes each screen pull different from one another. There are 2 small tears to the top edge of he poster, consummate with the age, paper quality and ephemeral nature of the poster.
